Unfortunately, we don’t offer trial classes. We work with a set group for the entire course because we believe in building a sense of community and progressing together. In a world that’s moving so fast, we want to slow down and focus on shared experiences with a consistent group. But hey, I can guarantee you’ll enjoy once you’re in!

Our courses run in 5-week blocks. Below is the schedule for the upcoming courses:

Yes, you can! And we made sure you can absolutely catch up! We offer video tutorials of the choreo for the entire course. The videos are shot in a way that makes it easy for you to follow along at home, using a mirrored view so you know exactly what to do. So, even if you miss a class, you can practice in your own time and stay on track with the group.

Beginners: This class is perfect if you have little to no dancehall or dance class experience. If you find it intimidating to join a dance class at a regular dance school, don’t worry! This course is designed for people who want to start dancing again. We focus on making you feel comfortable and forming a close group. Everyone can join!

Intermediate: Do you have at least a year of experience with dancehall or general dance? This class is for you. You already have some basic knowledge and feel comfortable with a faster pace.

Advanced: This class is for experienced dancers who have been dancing for years. If you take multiple classes a week or have trained in Jamaica, this is your level. You’ll train at a high level with a deep understanding of the moves.

Yes! This course is designed for beginners with no experience. We focus on creating a safe space where you’ll feel comfortable from day one. There’s no complicated footwork, just the basics of Dancehall and the right vibe to get you started. So no need to worry, you’ll feel right at home!

No problem at all! Our performance classes are all about tracking your own progress. We will never post your performance video online without your permission. What you do with the video is entirely up to you. If you prefer to keep it private, that’s totally fine! You have full control over it.

We always announce new courses on Instagram when they go live. But you can also sign up for our newsletter. This way, you’ll be the first to know about new courses, workshops, and bootcamps!

We don’t offer refunds because once you’ve booked, we start organizing the course and preparing everything for your spot. However, if you let us know at least two weeks before the course starts, we can offer you a credit to use for another course.

If it’s within two weeks of the start date, you can try to find someone to take your spot. Since our sessions are often sold out, there’s a good chance someone would love to join!

The price of a course can vary depending on the teacher and the type of course. When a course is led by a Jamaican teacher, the price is higher because you’re learning directly from the source. We believe it’s important to show respect and appreciation by compensating these teachers fairly for sharing their knowledge and culture with us. This reflects the value of learning authentic Dancehall straight from Jamaica.

The Couple Course has a different price because it includes more exercises and activities specifically for couples. We try to add extra things to make it even more fun and valuable, so you can enjoy it as a couple even after the course ends.

Yes, the professional group video is included in the course. If you’d like a solo or small group video, you can purchase it directly from the videographer for €10 per video. A professional dance video is normally valued at €100 per person, so this is a great way to capture your progress at a much lower cost.

From August to April, the courses are held indoors at a studio in West. From May to August, the courses take place outdoors at Bimhuis, and we also run a special summer schedule during these months.
